Today’s: I talk to women frequently who get frustrated and even angry when they are not listened to or what they say is twisted or turned back on them in a hurtful or destructive way. Can you relate? Psalm 34:17-19 says: When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit, many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” I am struck, in verse 17, that even if no one else hears us, the Lord does! The Lord, who is the Creator of the universe not only hears us in our troubles, but he promises to deliver us. The next time that you are struggling because you don’t feel heard, remember that God does hear you! If he hears you, cares for you, will deliver you, is near to you, and saves you, then how much does it matter if others hear you? Dear sisters, rest in the fact that God does hear you!
